Covering your stovetop with aluminium foil is very easy, but only if you follow these steps:
The first thing that you want to do is to take the covers and the tops which are the caps of your burner holes. After that take your knobs off as well, by simply pulling them upward and the knobs you can take them off.
Now clean the stove top with the help of a cloth. Try to cover the whole area of your and clean it as thoroughly as possible and include the tiles. Make sure you have cleaned the whole area where you want your foil paper to be covered otherwise there will be bubbles in that place.

Cut the small round holes for the burner caps and press lightly, you will observe the foil paper will emboss with the sides of the burner. Repeat the same with other burner holes.
Pop down the aluminium foils from the sides of the knob and level the alumimium from the side of the knob to the burner holes side.
Note: For cutting the aluminium foil start from the center of the burner holes first and then goes to the outer edges. Do not cut directly on the outer edges as it will disturb the outline of your cutting.
Ideally, one aluminium foil should be enough if you have used the large one to cover your stovetop. However, many want to cover their cooking range with more than one in order to observe precautionary measures.
If you also want to add more than one piece of foil paper, then just simply repeat the above-mentioned steps, cover it with another aluminium foil and cut holes in it with the knife.
Press the sides of the foil around your stove and put the transparent tap on it to make sure no damage may occur to your stove. Place the knobs, burners, and covers back in their places.
To test everything is working alright and the gas is coming through the stove you now will have to light the burners to test your hobs out for 5-10 minutes.
